Curriculum
Jones Hill State School is implementing the Australian Curriculum for all students in Prep to Year 6. The curriculum at JHSS is designed to support all students to become successful, confident and creative learners.
The JHSS curriculum units foster the knowledge, skills and understanding described in the eight learning areas of the Australian Curriculum: English, Mathematics, Science, Health and Physical Education (HPE), Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS), The Arts, Technologies and Languages (Japanese). In each learning area or subject, content descriptions specify what our students will learn, and achievement standards describe the depth of understanding and the sophistication of knowledge and skill expected of students at the end of each year level or band of years.
